Riverside Condominiums, Escazú (Central Valley)
This luxury condominium project is located in Escazú, one of the most expensive areas in the Central Valley. Each of the project’s two towers has 30+ units, of one, two, and three bedrooms. A first-class security service means that this project is ideal for anyone who travels a lot or who plans on living in the country part-time: you can leave your condominium and rest assured that it will be in good shape when you return.
The amenities include a communal pool and barbecue area; a picnic area; children’s playground; jogging trails; gym; racquetball court; and mini golf. For the convenience of condominium owners, the developers have built a small commercial center next to the property. Part-time residents can rely on the services of a property management and rental company operated by the development.
Monte Olímpo Condominium, Escazú (Central Valley)
Many people who want to buy a condominium would prefer to live in a smaller development, one with fewer units, less commotion, and a more personal feel. One such project is the Monte Olimpo Condominium project. Buildings in this small complex are three-stories tall. Condominiums come fully furnished, and offer views of the backing mountains or the valley below. As with all modern condominiums, the complex is watched over by a 24-hour guard service.
Like most small developments, this project offers few amenities. Only when a project reaches a certain size does it begin to make financial sense to offer communal pool areas, gym facilities, and the like.
DayStar Properties, Jacó (Puntarenas)
DayStar Properties, one of the first developers of condominiums in Jacó, is also one of the first to provide financing for buyers. This company has a number of large-scale condominium projects in the works. Among these is Diamonte del Sol, a project that will consist of at least five condominium towers. The marketing pitch is oriented toward people who want to buy condominiums as rental property investments. Marketing lingo promises “turn-key vacation homes” and “fully furnished, including stainless steel appliances.” Few if any buyers will live in these properties year round. In addition to a full service property management and rental program, the developments offer: cable tv, high speed wireless Internet access, swimming pools, housekeeping service, gated 24/7 security, and 24/7 concierge service.
