Anyone thinking of living in Costa Rica is faced with renting or buying an apartment, condo or home. Fortunately, there are many options if you are thinking of buying. One of the newest products available are high-rise condominiums. Prices start at around $100,000 for a condo in one of these structures. Buildings generally offer 1,2, or three bedroom units with nice finishings, a view, a parking space and a good location.
These are some of the high-rise projects in or near San José.
Vista Real is located in San Rafael de Alajuela and has a couple of towers with good security, pools, a playground, tennis court and barbecue areas.
Oasis de San José has contemporary-style apartments with three bedrooms, a dinning room, a study, two bathrooms and a parking spot.
Torres de Alcala, located in Lourdes de Montes de Oca to the east of San José, has four models of one and two bedroom apartments from which to choose. Each has high-end finishings and comes with a parking space.
Condo Vita Vista has two or three bedroom condos, a balcony and contemporary finishings.
Here are a couple of developments which are not high rises.
Residencial Málaga is located near the new highway to Caldera. The project has 149 houses which range in size between 160 to 300 square meters.
Hojarasca is in San Antonio de Belén, a quaint town which is near the airport. The project consists of twenty two-story homes with two or three bedrooms and a two-car garage.
There are other projects where retirees can locate affordable homes and condos in or near the areas I mention above.
